Twitch’s streamer QTCinderella has pledged to take on a porn website, that posted videos displaying fakes of her as well as other streamers engaged in sexual activity without their permission.
Famous content creators Pokimane, Sweet Anita along with Maya Higa, who has a podcast alongside QTCinderella are just a few of the victims of these fake videos.
The fake porn website was a hit in the last few days, mainly because Atrioc is another prominent streamer on Twitch was caught on camera using the site in a video that became viral. The streamer apologized for his actions and apologyd for his actions and stated that the streamer “got morbidly curious” after receiving an advertisement for the website, and the site was visited, and he even got paid to use the site.
QTCinderella streamed live on her own channel after watching the apology by Atrioc, and condemned the use of her fellow streamers’ faces to achieve these goals. She also condemned Atrioc for promoting the site to a huge audience and claiming that she’s receiving harassment from users who have sent fake images of her engaged in sexual activity.
“Fuck the fucking internet. Fuck the constant exploitation and objectification of women, it’s exhausting. Fuck Atrioc for showing it to thousands of people. Fuck the people DMing me pictures of myself from that website. Fuck you all” She declared in the short, emotional show.
She went on to say: “And to the person that made that website, I’m going to fucking sue you. I promise you, with every part of my soul. I’m going to fucking sue you.”
Although the UK is in the process of the regulation of deepfake technology, and prohibiting the use of an individual’s image to create explicit content without their permission, other countries around the globe aren’t yet taking steps against this relatively new technology as well as the unconstitutional methods used to use it.
Deepfake technology uses the data from a sample and AI to project the face of a person’s voice on a video. This is very difficult to detect if it is done properly. Alongside misinformation about politics porn is another area that is seeing a rise in the illegal use of this technology and female celebrities taking some of the blame for this tragic change.
